Key Upgrades for the AYANEO Next II:

  • AMD Ryzen 7000 Series Power: The Next II will be powered by AMD's latest Ryzen 7000 series chips, featuring Zen 4 CPU cores and a powerful RDNA 3 integrated GPU.
  • Discrete Radeon RX 7000S Series GPU: In a significant boost to graphics performance, AYANEO is adding a discrete GPU from AMD's Radeon RX 7000S series. This will enable high-quality gaming even with demanding titles.
  • Larger 8-inch Display: The Next II gets a larger 8-inch IPS display for a more immersive gaming experience.

The decision to incorporate a discrete GPU required a larger chassis, which also allows for better cooling. This suggests that the Next II will be able to handle the higher power demands of the Ryzen 7000 series processors and the dedicated graphics card.

While the exact processor model hasn't been confirmed, rumors point to a Ryzen 7040U or 7040HS. The inclusion of a MUX switch is also a possibility, allowing users to switch between the integrated and discrete GPUs for optimal performance and battery life.

The Next II will retain the innovative controller design from its predecessor, featuring analog sticks, action buttons, shoulder triggers, a D-pad, and dual trackpads for enhanced control in Windows 11, which will be pre-installed on the device.

The AYANEO Next II is expected to launch in late 2023. With its impressive specs and innovative features, it's poised to be a major contender in the handheld gaming market.
