The Samsung Galaxy A14, one of the most affordable smartphones of 2023, might also be one of the easiest to repair. A recent teardown reveals a significant design change that could make repairs much simpler for users.

The teardown, conducted by PBKReviews, highlights the use of adhesive "pull tabs" to secure the battery. This is a departure from the excessive adhesive often used in smartphones, which can make battery replacement difficult and risky.

The pull tabs make it significantly easier to remove the battery without causing damage, and PBKReviews suggests they are reusable, further enhancing repairability.

Additionally, the A14's design allows for the replacement of certain components, like the rear camera module, without requiring a full disassembly of the phone. However, the 90Hz display appears to be more challenging to replace.
