Redmi Note 12 Turbo Edition to Debut with In-Display Fingerprint Sensor
Redmi is adding a new "Turbo" edition to its popular Note 12 series, and this model is set to bring a first-time feature to the lineup: an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The Redmi Note 12 Turbo Edition is rumored to feature the yet-to-be-released Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 processor, as well as an upgrade to MIUI 14 out of the box. While other Note 12 series phones have OLED displays, they all feature side-mounted fingerprint sensors. The Note 12 Turbo Edition will be the first in the series to sport an in-display fingerprint sensor, a feature commonly found in higher-end devices.
Although the Note 12 Turbo Edition is expected to be priced higher than other models in the series, it will likely lack features like 210W charging found in the Discovery Edition. However, the in-display fingerprint sensor is a significant addition that could justify the higher price tag for many users.
