European Release with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3
A recent Geekbench listing suggests that unlike the Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus, the Galaxy Z Fold6 will boast the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset in the European market. This is a welcome sign for European consumers seeking top-tier performance.
Possible Price Hike on the Horizon
While the official price remains unknown, rumors suggest a potential price increase for the Galaxy Z Fold series. This could be a point to consider for those on a tighter budget.
Early Leaks Reveal Design Changes
Leaked images, including those from reputable sources like @UniverseIce, showcase a potential design shift for the Galaxy Z Fold6. The phone appears squarer compared to the current Z Fold5, hinting at a more modern look. The camera housing might also see a redesign, though the camera sensors themselves might remain unchanged.
More Dramatic Design Shift Than Expected
Interestingly, leaked images of a dummy unit suggest a more significant design departure than previously anticipated. These images depict a phone with a design more reminiscent of the Vivo X Fold3 Pro than its predecessor, the Z Fold5.
12GB RAM and Potential Price Increase
The Geekbench leak also suggests that the 12GB of RAM from the Z Fold5 will carry over to the Z Fold6. However, this upgrade in performance might come at a cost, with rumors pointing towards a €100 price increase over the current Z Fold5.
Official Reveal Expected in July
Despite these leaks, we still have some time to wait for the official unveiling. Samsung is expected to introduce the Z Fold6 alongside the Z Flip6, new Galaxy Watch smartwatches, and the Galaxy Ring in early July. Stay tuned for more confirmed details as we approach the official release date.
