Samsung Galaxy M35 5G: A Familiar Mid-Range Offering with 120Hz AMOLED and 6,000mAh Battery
Samsung has announced the Galaxy M35 5G, which is a direct sequel to the Galaxy M34 5G from last summer. The Galaxy M35 5G comes with a modern Exynos CPU, a 120 Hz Super AMOLED display, a 50 MP primary camera, and a big 6,000 mAh battery.
Samsung has released the Galaxy M35 5G less than a year after introducing its predecessor (currently priced at $203.99 on Amazon). In summary, the new smartphone is powered by Samsung's Exynos 1380 CPU and features a 6.6-inch touchscreen. In other words, the Galaxy M35 5G mimics the Galaxy A35 5G, which we evaluated earlier this year.
For context, the Galaxy M35 5G's Super AMOLED display has a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels, and a brightness of 1,000 nits. Furthermore, Samsung offers a 6,000 mAh battery that supports 25 W wired charging via USB Type-C; the Galaxy M35 5G lacks wireless charging capability entirely. Furthermore, the handset supports twin SIM cards, although one of its two SIM card slots can be used for MicroSD card expansion if necessary.
Samsung also equips the Galaxy M35 5G with three rear-facing cameras: a 50 MP primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture and 4K/30 FPS video capabilities, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2 MP auxiliary camera. Additionally, a 13 MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture handles front-facing optics. The Galaxy M35 5G, like other recent mid-range Galaxy smartphones, will receive four major Android updates beginning with Android 14, followed by a fifth year of Android security patch updates. The Galaxy M35 5G is currently only available in Brazil, with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, for BRL 2,699 (~$522).
