Vivo X Fold3 Pro: India's "Best Fold Ever" Arrives on June 6th
Vivo has already stated that it will introduce one of its most expensive smartphones outside of China in 2024. The X Fold3 Pro is now officially set to be India's "Best Fold Ever" in the coming weeks. It is also underpinned by Google's commitment to supporting AI as it enters new markets.
Vivo has stated that its foldable smartphones will be publicly available outside China in 2024, beginning with India (as seen by the debut of suitable carbon fiber-effect cases on Amazon.in).
On that topic (and despite our misgivings), the OEM has also confirmed that the device on its way to the market is the true Pro version of the X Fold3, boasting that it weighs only 236 grams and is only 11.2mm thick when closed.
Nonetheless, the Pro is said to include top-of-the-line hardware, including Zeiss-branded rear cameras with periscope zoom technology, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC for both its 120Hz AMOLED displays, and innovative silicon-carbon batteries with a hefty 5,700mAh capacity.
The X Fold3 Pro is also expected to include AI Assist features like smart translation, transcription, and note-taking powered by Google's Gemini out of the box.
It will be released on June 6, 2024, at 12:00 IST (08:30 CET) in a single Celestial Black hue, with more SKU information like RAM and internal storage to follow.
