Redmi 13 4G: Xiaomi's Budget-Friendly Successor to Redmi 12 4G with 108MP Camera

Xiaomi is planning a follow-up to last year's Redmi 12 4G. According to multiple reports, Xiaomi plans to introduce the Redmi 13 4G for less than €200, despite its enormous battery capacity, 90 Hz display, and 108 MP primary camera.

The Redmi 12 4G (now $149.97 on Amazon) is reaching its first birthday. Although Xiaomi has not yet begun teasing the introduction of a successor, multiple outlets have gotten render images and specifications for such a device. According to the graphics below, Xiaomi intends to give different upgrades to the gadget it introduced in mid-June 2023.

On the one hand, it looks like Xiaomi is incorporating the 108 MP camera sensor from previous higher-end Redmi smartphones into one of its more basic versions. The 108 MP sensor is unlikely to be optically stabilized (OIS) when used in a twin camera configuration. Regardless, it appears that the Redmi 13 4G produces superior image quality than the Redmi 12 4G, which has a 50 MP sensor.

Furthermore, the new 108 MP sensor is supposed to be paired with a MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra CPU and a 5,040 mAh battery that enables 33 W wired charging. Furthermore, the Redmi 13 4G will feature a 6.79-inch display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz. Unfortunately, the panel type and native resolution are currently unclear. Similarly, it is uncertain when Xiaomi will launch the Redmi 13 4G.

Nonetheless, the handset is expected to start at €199 for 6 GB of RAM, with an 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage option priced at €229.
