ASUS Launches Chromebox 5a with Intel Core i7 for Under $300

ASUS has unveiled the updated version of its Chromebox 5 mini-PC, originally released last year. The new Chromebox 5a boasts a 13th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, even more USB ports, and a more affordable price tag.

The top-of-the-line model features a powerful Intel Core i7 1355H processor coupled with Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics. For wireless connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. Naturally, the device runs on Chrome OS.
Connectivity Options
The Chromebox 5a is not short on ports. The front panel houses a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, an audio jack, and a microSD card reader. On the rear, you'll find two more USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port, two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4, and a Gigabit Ethernet port.
