Far Cry 7 to Feature Third-Person Perspective, Ubisoft Job Listing Suggests
Game studio job listings have become a reliable source of insider information, with job descriptions often shedding light on interesting details. It seems Far Cry 7 will allow players to experience the game from a third-person perspective.
Ubisoft is looking for an experienced animator for a new Far Cry game. Interestingly, the very first item in the list of responsibilities reads:
"You will create first-person animation systems, as well as equivalent counterparts for third-person gameplay."
While some players were surprised by this turn of events, others pointed out that the third-person perspective had already appeared in previous installments – albeit in multiplayer modes. This time, however, this aspect may be given special attention. According to reliable insider Tom Henderson, the seventh installment has been split into two: a classic single-player adventure and a multiplayer spin-off. Henderson also reports that Far Cry 7 is being prepared for release in the fall of 2025.
