Leaked iPhone 16 Case Photos Confirm Updated Design
New images of purported iPhone 16 cases have surfaced online, seemingly corroborating previous design leaks and revealing some intriguing new details.
iPhone 16 Camera Layout
The photos once again point to a subtly revamped design for the iPhone 16, featuring two vertically aligned camera lenses. One theory suggests this arrangement is to accommodate spatial video recording capabilities for Apple's Vision Pro mixed reality headset, even on the base models. For optimal spatial capture, the lenses need to be horizontally aligned, mimicking the position of human eyes.
Action Button and Camera Button
The case images also confirm the presence of an "Action" button, replacing the traditional mute switch. This button debuted on the iPhone 15 Pro and appears to be making its way to all new iPhone models. Additionally, a cutout below the power button on the right side hints at a dedicated camera button, previously thought to be exclusive to the Pro versions. This rumored button is said to be touch-sensitive, allowing for quick camera access, photo capture, and zoom and focus control.
Anticipated Release
Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 16 series in the first half of September.
