NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Laptops Leak: Up to 16GB GDDR7 & More Powerful Performance

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Laptop GPUs: Leaked Roadmap Spills the Tea!

Hold onto your hats, gamers, because the rumor mill is churning! A leaked roadmap has surfaced online, hinting at NVIDIA's plans for their next-gen GeForce RTX 50 laptop GPUs. And guess what? It looks like things are about to get powerful.

NVIDIA's Game Plan: Out with the Old, In with the New (Mostly)

So, what's the scoop? It seems NVIDIA might be playing it safe with their budget-friendly options. The leak suggests they'll keep the GeForce RTX 3050 and RTX 4050 around for a while longer, bidding farewell only to the RTX 2050 (but only when they've sold off all the remaining stock – gotta love a good clearance sale, right?).

But the real excitement is happening at the higher end. Get ready for a whopping six new RTX 50 laptop GPUs, ranging from the mighty RTX 5050 all the way up to the beastly RTX 5090! And here's a surprise: we might see two versions of the RTX 5080, each with different levels of VRAM.

Speaking of VRAM, it looks like we can expect configurations similar to the RTX 40 series, but with a boost for the lower-end models (8GB instead of 6GB) and a slight tweak for one of the 5080 versions (12GB instead of 16GB).

Hold your horses, though! We might not see these bad boys in action until late 2024 or even early 2025. But hey, good things come to those who wait, right?

Here's a sneak peek at the rumored lineup (from entry-level to top-tier):

  • GeForce RTX 5050: GN22-X2 GPU / 8 GB GDDR7 VRAM
  • GeForce RTX 5060: GN22-X4 GPU / 8 GB GDDR7 VRAM
  • GeForce RTX 5070: GN22-X6 GPU / 8 GB GDDR7 VRAM
  • GeForce RTX 5080: GN22-X7 GPU / 12 GB GDDR7 VRAM
  • GeForce RTX 5080: GN22-X9 GPU / 16 GB GDDR7 VRAM
  • GeForce RTX 5090: GN22-X11 GPU / 16 GB GDDR7 VRAM
