Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6: More RAM, But Will it Break the Bank?
Good news, foldable fans! The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 is getting a much-needed memory boost. A new Geekbench listing confirms that the top-tier model will rock a whopping 12GB of RAM – a first for this stylish foldable.
Remember that leak that spilled all the Galaxy Z Flip6's secrets? Well, it forgot to mention the memory and storage options (oops!). Luckily, earlier rumors hinted at a possible price bump alongside a storage upgrade, and now Geekbench is here to fill in the blanks.
The listing confirms that the international variant (SM-F741B) will boast a beefy 12GB of RAM. Considering how much AI loves to gobble up memory, this upgrade is a welcome addition. However, Samsung might limit this high-RAM version to certain markets – let's hope that's not the case!
Performance-wise, the Geekbench scores are right on par with other Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy devices. No surprises there!
Interestingly, an earlier (and likely fake) Geekbench listing showed a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 running the show with 12GB RAM. It's highly unlikely Samsung would use last year's chip in a brand new foldable, so we're calling shenanigans on that one.
But the Z Flip6 isn't the only one getting a memory makeover. Rumors are swirling about a 12GB RAM variant of the Galaxy S24 FE, which could debut at Galaxy Unpacked on July 10th. Sadly, the Galaxy S25 might be stuck with a measly 8GB of RAM. Come on, Samsung, even budget phones are rocking more RAM these days!
