ASUS Unveils NUC 14 Pro Plus Mini PC with Five Intel Chip Options
ASUS has introduced the NUC 14 Pro Plus, a mini PC that packs a punch despite its small size. This powerhouse boasts a full array of ports, an advanced cooling system, and a barebone configuration option without memory or an operating system.
Powerful Performance in a Compact Package
The ready-to-run version of the NUC 14 Pro Plus comes equipped with a choice of three processors: Intel Core Ultra 5 125H, Ultra 7 155H, or Ultra 9 185H. For those seeking more specialized options, the barebone version offers two additional chips: Ultra 5 135H vPro and Core Ultra 7 165H vPro, featuring enhanced security features tailored for businesses.
Ample Memory and Storage Options
With two DDR5-5600 SODIMM slots supporting up to 48GB each, memory won't be a bottleneck. Storage is equally impressive with support for both M.2 2280 and 2242 drives (both PCIe 4.0 compatible), available in 512GB and 1TB capacities.
Connectivity and Cooling
The aluminum chassis, measuring a compact 144 x 112 x 41 mm and weighing 800 grams, houses an impressive array of ports:
- Three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
- One USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C
- Two Thunderbolt 4
- LAN (2.5 Gbps)
- One USB 2.0 Type-A
- Two HDMI 2.1
Wireless connectivity is ensured with Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. Cooling is handled by a robust system featuring three heat pipes and a dual-sided heat exchanger. ASUS claims a 35% boost in AI performance compared to the previous generation NUC 13 Pro.
Pricing and Availability
While the exact release date and pricing details remain under wraps, the ASUS NUC 14 Pro Plus promises to be a compelling option for users seeking a powerful and versatile mini PC.
