A first glimpse of BioShock 4 surfaces online!
It's been nearly five years since BioShock 4 was announced, and we've heard precious little about the game since then. However, a recent leak has given us a sneak peek at what might be in store. An anonymous VFX artist shared a screenshot online, reportedly taken from a 2021 build of the game.
While rumors suggest that the 2021 build has since been scrapped and development restarted, the screenshot offers a tantalizing glimpse at what could have been. The image features a mysterious, fiery orb resembling a miniature sun, while the player character wields a shotgun seemingly equipped with a ricochet modification – a feature seen in previous BioShock games.
This leak comes on the heels of Cloud Chamber, the studio developing BioShock 4, initiating a massive recruitment drive. They're seeking senior talent across all disciplines, from VFX and art to design, programming, writing, and production. This suggests that the game is still in its early stages and we likely won't be seeing a release for several years.
