Gamescom Trailer Prices Leaked: One Minute Costs a Whopping €165,000
Following the leak of Summer Game Fest's pricing, Gamescom's own price list has surfaced online. It turns out showcasing trailers at this exhibition isn't cheap either, though it's considerably more affordable than Jeff Keighley's show.
The pricing information was unearthed by journalists at TechRaptor. A 30-second trailer slot will set publishers back €115,000. One-minute, 90-second, and two-minute slots will cost €165,000, €215,000, and €265,000 respectively. As a point of comparison, one minute at Jeff Keighley's show costs approximately $250,000, with a two-minute slot demanding a hefty $450,000.
Interestingly, showing a trailer during the Gamescom pre-show is significantly cheaper than the main event – costing roughly half the price, ranging from €57,500 to €132,500.
Journalists have pointed out the significant price hike over the past two years. For instance, a one-minute trailer slot in 2022 would have cost publishers €125,000, a full 32% less than the current rate. With such high costs, it's no wonder that more and more companies are opting out of these conferences in favor of hosting their own smaller showcases.
