HMD View Leaks: Compact Mid-Ranger with Premium Touches
Leaked information points to HMD Global gearing up to release the HMD View, a stylish mid-range smartphone with a metal frame and OLED display. While positioned as a successor to the Nokia X30, it will reportedly ditch the Nokia branding.
What We Know So Far:
- Design: The HMD View boasts a sleek, understated design with a slightly rounded metal frame. It features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor embedded in the power button and a rectangular camera module housing two lenses and an LED flash. Color options include "Meteor Black," "Ice," and "Velvet."
- Display: Despite its compact size, the phone packs a 6.4-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1080p+, promising vibrant colors and sharp visuals.
- Camera: A 50-megapixel main camera is expected to handle photography duties. Details about the secondary lens remain under wraps.
- Performance: Powering the HMD View is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 3, a new 6nm chipset that might leave some wanting more in terms of raw performance. It features two ARM Cortex-A78 performance cores clocked at up to 2.3 GHz and six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores at 2.0 GHz.
- Memory and Battery: At least one variant of the HMD View will come equipped with 8 GB of RAM. A 4,700 mAh battery is expected to provide decent battery life.
