Honor MagicBook Art 14 Boasts Removable Webcam and Nearly Bezel-less OLED Screen
Alongside their foldable smartphones, Honor has also unveiled the new MagicBook Art 14 laptop. The model features an OLED screen and Intel Core Ultra 10th generation processors, but the most notable features are its compact size and incredibly thin bezels.
According to Honor, the MagicBook Art 14 is just 1 centimeter thick and weighs a mere 1 kilogram, all while sporting a metal chassis. It houses a 14.6-inch OLED screen with a resolution of 3120x2080 pixels, occupying an impressive 97% of the display lid's surface area. The display also boasts a 120Hz refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, a brightness of up to 700 nits, and a PWM frequency of 4320 Hz.
The bezels surrounding the display are a scant 2.2 mm thin, leaving no room for a traditional webcam. As a solution, Honor opted for a removable webcam – a small module that attaches magnetically via dedicated connectors to the top of the laptop lid. The module is stored in a special compartment within the laptop's right side, easily accessible with a simple press.
Inside the MagicBook Art 14, you'll find either an Intel Core Ultra 5 or Core Ultra 7 processor, up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and a 1 TB M.2 SSD. A 60 Wh battery powers the device, providing up to 9.5 hours of runtime. The laptop charges via a 65W adapter.
Beneath the backlit keyboard lies a generously sized touchpad measuring 129x94.5 mm. It's covered by durable glass and supports pressure sensitivity. As for ports, the laptop offers one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, two USB 3.2 Type-C (Thunderbolt 4), HDMI 2.1, and a 3.5mm combo audio jack.
