HUAWEI to Launch Affordable Foldable Smartphone Soon
HUAWEI is gearing up to strengthen its presence in the foldable smartphone market with the release of a budget-friendly device within its nova series, according to renowned Chinese insider Digital Chat Station.
The company reportedly postponed the launch of the nova 13 series to unveil the new foldable in August. The device is expected to be priced between 5000 and 6000 yuan (approximately $687 to $825). For comparison, the HUAWEI Pocket 2, released earlier this year, initially cost over $1000. The recently launched Xiaomi Mix Flip also starts at around $825.
Details about the device are scarce. However, it is rumored to be powered by a Kirin 9010 processor, which includes the base Kirin 9010 with a clock speed of up to 2.19 GHz and the Kirin 9010E with slightly lower frequencies. It is also expected to feature a relatively large external display.
