Logitech has expanded its lineup of peripherals with the new G309 wireless mouse. This new addition supports charging from PowerPlay, Lightspeed mats, or operates on AA batteries. Even better, it comes in at under $100.

"Infinite" Battery Life

According to the manufacturer, the Logitech G309 boasts a battery life of up to 300 hours when using the Lightspeed adapter, or up to a whopping 600 hours via Bluetooth connection. Users can also charge the mouse using a PowerPlay mat. Removing the batteries for wireless charging with the mat reduces the mouse's weight to a mere 68 grams.

This impressive feat is made possible by a supercapacitor that acts as a tiny battery, constantly charged wirelessly by the mat. Previously, rechargeable lithium batteries replaced AA batteries, but they didn't offer the desired level of portability.

Premium Features at an Affordable Price

The Logitech G309 also comes equipped with a Hero 25K sensor and hybrid opto-mechanical switches, typically found in premium-priced mice. It does, however, lack a dual-mode scroll wheel with ratchet and free-spinning functionality.

At just $80, the Logitech G309 presents a compelling option in its segment, offering high-end features and impressive battery life at an affordable price.
