Minisforum Releases Mini-PC With Upgradable CPU Minisforum has just launched its latest compact computer, the MS-A1, with a unique feature: a replaceable CPU. Thanks to its motherboard featuring a standard AM5 socket, users can easily upgrade the processor. The company has revealed all the specs and pricing for its new mini-PC. Powerful Processor Options: The Minisforum MS-A1 supports Ryzen 7000, 8000, and 9000 series CPUs, including powerful models like the Ryzen 9 7900X and 7950X. However, using the latter will limit the TDP to 100W, potentially impacting their full performance potential. A compact dual-fan cooler keeps the system from overheating. Plenty of Memory and Storage: The motherboard boasts two DDR5-5200 RAM slots (supporting up to 96GB), three M.2 connectors (two PCIe 4.0 x4 and one PCIe 3.0 x4), and a U.2 connector.
