The developers of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 have responded to the recent leak of an old build of the game, urging fans to wait for the official release to experience the full vision they have worked so hard to create.
Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment issued a joint statement expressing their disappointment over the leak, highlighting the build is nearly a year old and doesn't represent the final product. They emphasized their commitment to delivering the best possible gameplay experience and asked players to avoid the leaked build to preserve the intended experience for everyone.
"We are deeply touched by the overwhelming support we have received from the community following the leak of an old build of our upcoming game, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2," the statement reads. "Our teams have poured years of hard work, passion, and dedication into creating a game that lives up to your hopes and expectations. However, many surprises have been spoiled, and that breaks our hearts. We are saddened that a build almost a year old will be the first experience many will have with Space Marine 2."
The developers reiterated that their primary goal is to provide players with the best possible experience, which is why they've dedicated extra time to development to ensure a polished and complete game. They concluded by asking fans to show their support by experiencing the game as intended upon its release on September 9th.
