STALKER 2 Heart of Chornobyl Delayed Again, Now Coming November 2024

Fans of the post-apocalyptic series will have to wait a little longer to return to the Zone, as GSC Game World has announced another delay for STALKER 2 Heart of Chornobyl. The game, originally slated for an April 2022 release, is now scheduled to launch on November 20, 2024.

STALKER 2

This marks the second major delay for the highly anticipated title, which was previously pushed to September 5, 2024. According to the developers, the additional time is needed to eliminate last-minute bugs and ensure a polished experience for players on PC, Xbox Series S|X, and Xbox Game Pass (where it will be available on day one).

To tide fans over, GSC Game World has promised new gameplay footage and a "full walkthrough" of a quest during a dedicated livestream event on August 12th. In the meantime, players can explore the series' roots with the Stalker: Legends of the Zone Trilogy, which includes the first three games (Shadow of Chernobyl, Clear Sky, and Call of Pripyat) and is available on Xbox and Playstation.

STALKER 2 Heart of Chornobyl is being developed on Unreal Engine 5, promising stunning visuals and immersive environments. However, this graphical fidelity may come at a cost for console players, who might be limited to a 30 FPS experience if a 60 FPS mode isn't available at launch.
