TECNO CAMON 30S Pro boasts a brand new MediaTek chip and Sony camera
TECNO has unveiled the CAMON 30S Pro, their first smartphone to feature wireless charging. But that's not all: the device also boasts the yet-to-be-announced MediaTek Helio G100 processor and an advanced camera system. Here's what else makes the new model stand out.
Display and Design
The TECNO CAMON 30S Pro sports a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 2436x1080 resolution, and 100% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. The panel offers a peak brightness of 1300 nits and a 2160Hz PWM dimming frequency. A 50MP front-facing camera with autofocus is located in a centrally positioned punch-hole at the top of the screen.
Camera Capabilities
The rear camera setup features a 50MP Sony IMX896 (f/1.88) primary sensor with optical image stabilization. Next to the camera module, you'll find a red LED that lights up during photography, video recording, and charging.
Performance and Battery
Under the hood, the device is powered by the new 6nm MediaTek Helio G100 processor. The integrated modem supports CA 2.0 carrier aggregation technology, enabling download speeds of up to 300Mbps. The smartphone packs 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
A 5000mAh battery keeps the lights on, supported by 45W wired charging (0-100% in 45 minutes) and 20W wireless charging.
Additional Features
Rounding out the specs are NFC, FM radio, an IR blaster, and an under-display fingerprint scanner. The phone measures 164.64 x 74.64 x 7.75mm.
TECNO has not yet announced pricing or a release date for the CAMON 30S Pro.
