vivo Reveals Launch Date and Camera Specs for V40 and V40 Pro
vivo is gearing up to launch its new V40 series, teasing fans with key camera specs, design reveals, and an official launch date.
Mark your calendars for August 7th, when vivo will officially unveil both the V40 and V40 Pro. Both devices will feature the company's signature Aura ring light, as seen in promotional images.
Camera Powerhouse:
vivo is emphasizing the camera capabilities of the V40 series. The V40 Pro boasts an impressive triple camera setup:
- Primary: 50MP Sony IMX921 with OIS
- Ultrawide: 50MP with a 119° field of view
- Telephoto: 50MP Sony IMX816 with 2x optical zoom
The standard V40 will share the primary and ultrawide lenses, but ditches the telephoto lens.
Zeiss Collaboration:
Both devices benefit from Zeiss Portrait Mastery technology and offer various shooting modes that emulate iconic Zeiss lenses. Notably, a mode mimicking the Biotar lens promises a unique swirly bokeh effect.
More Than Just Cameras:
Beyond cameras, reports suggest both phones will feature IP68 water and dust resistance, a 5500mAh battery with 80W fast charging. The V40 is rumored to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, while the V40 Pro is expected to pack the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ processor.
Pricing for the vivo V40 and V40 Pro is yet to be announced.
