During June 2024, Windows 11's adoption rate increased by 2.14 percentage points, rising from 27.67% to 29.71%. While Windows 10 continues to hold a commanding lead with a 66.1% market share, it experienced a decline of 2.23 percentage points over the same period.

This upward trend for Windows 11 is likely driven by users proactively upgrading their systems from Windows 10, especially as the latter's end-of-support date of October 2025 approaches. However, extended security update programs and unofficial workarounds might allow Windows 10 to remain in use for some time beyond this date.

Other Windows Versions Market Share:

  • Windows 8.1: 0.4% (a decrease of 0.03 percentage points)
  • Windows XP: 0.39% (an increase of 0.2 percentage points)
