AMD's Budget-Friendly Ryzen 5 5500X3D with Powerful 3D V-Cache Coming Soon
Despite its age, the AMD AM4 platform lives on! It appears AMD itself isn't ready to let go just yet. News has surfaced regarding the imminent arrival of the Ryzen 5 5500X3D, a new budget-friendly gaming CPU for those reluctant to upgrade their motherboard.
According to TechPowerUp, this six-core (12-thread) processor boasts 96MB of L3 cache and will run at a base clock speed of 3.0 GHz, boosting up to 4.0 GHz. The anticipated retail price is expected to stay under $200, strategically positioning it below the Ryzen 5 5600X3D, which launched at $230.
While AMD has yet to make an official announcement, the new CPU has already been spotted in the EEC database. If confirmed, the Ryzen 5 5500X3D will be AMD's most affordable processor featuring its impressive 3D V-cache technology, promising enhanced gaming performance.
