The Google Pixel 9 Pro XL Proves to be One Tough Smartphone [VIDEO]
Right after the presentation of the new Pixel phones, tech blogger Zack Nelson released a video showcasing the durability of the flagship model – the Pixel 9 Pro XL. The device proved to be remarkably tough, and its fingerprint scanner surprised even the tech blogger with its accuracy.
In a Mohs hardness test, the display glass performed on par with other smartphones, exhibiting the first barely noticeable scratches at level 6. The side bezels of the device turned out to be anodized, not painted. This was revealed by the box cutter test, which didn't peel off any paint but instead left deep grooves. However, the display, camera glass, and back panel remained unscathed.
Furthermore, the blogger noted that the smartphone's screen endured a full 30 seconds under an open lighter flame without showing any visible signs of damage. Even more impressive, the fingerprint scanner continued to function correctly even after the entire glass surface above it was covered in deep scratches. The Pixel 9 Pro XL also passed the bend test with flying colors: neither the screen nor the back cover cracked, and the frame didn't bend.
