HUAWEI Unveils the Sleek and Speedy MatePad Air 12, Starting at $417
HUAWEI has just introduced its latest tablet offering, the MatePad Air 12. This new device boasts a thin, metallic design, a powerful battery with fast charging, and the option to choose between a standard display or one with an anti-glare coating.
At the heart of the MatePad Air 12 is a 12.2-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2800x1840 pixels. It features a refresh rate of 144Hz and a peak brightness of 1000 nits. For those sensitive to glare, the Soft Light Edition incorporates an anti-glare coating that reduces light reflection by 60% and eliminates up to 99% of glare compared to the standard display, according to HUAWEI.
While the exact processor model remains undisclosed by the company, rumors suggest it is powered by the Kirin 9000W. The MatePad Air 12 comes in several configurations with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage.
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the dual rear camera system, featuring a 13MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. An 8MP front-facing camera is also included for selfies and video calls.
Keeping the tablet powered up is a substantial 10,100mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging. Rounding out the key features are six built-in speakers and a speedy USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port.
