MediaTek Dimensity 9400 Details Revealed: More Power, Less Drain
Leaked information from renowned tipster Digital Chat Station has shed light on MediaTek's upcoming flagship platform, the Dimensity 9400. According to the leak, the new chip boasts significant performance improvements over its predecessor, putting it nearly on par with its Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 competitor.
The leak specifically highlights a 30% increase in single-core performance. In benchmark tests, the Dimensity 9400 reportedly achieved a score of 2869, while the current Dimensity 9300 managed only 2207. For comparison, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 scores around 2884 in the same benchmark.
Impressively, the leak also claims the Dimensity 9400 achieves this performance boost while consuming just 30% of the energy required by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for similar tasks. This points to significantly improved energy efficiency for MediaTek’s latest offering.
These promising results are attributed to the Dimensity 9400's rumored adoption of the new Cortex-X925 cores, codenamed "Blackhawk." The chip will be manufactured using TSMC's N3 process technology. The Dimensity 9400 is expected to debut in October.
