On a positive note, the phone features a glass back securely adhered to the frame, along with a rubber seal on the SIM card tray, resulting in an IP68 water resistance rating. The camera module is also crafted from metal, further bolstering the phone's protection against the elements.

Beyond the standard NFC antenna and wireless charging coil, the NIO Phone 2 houses a UWB chip, enabling its use as a digital car key. Keeping things cool under the hood is a robust vapor chamber cooling system designed to handle the demands of the powerful hardware.

However, the blogger uncovered some "flaws" when comparing the NIO Phone 2 with other flagship models. For instance, it sports only two microphones, while its counterparts typically feature three or four for enhanced audio recording. Furthermore, the fingerprint scanner relies on optical technology instead of the more advanced ultrasonic method.

Despite these shortcomings, WekiHome praised the phone's internal assembly quality. Disassembly proved relatively straightforward, and the device functioned perfectly after being reassembled.
