OPPO Find X8 Pro Rumored to Debut with Massive Battery Alongside Two Siblings
The OPPO Find X8 Pro is rumored to return as part of a three-pronged flagship smartphone launch in late 2024, according to renowned leaker Digital Chat Station. Joining the Pro model will be the vanilla OPPO Find X8 and the top-tier OPPO Find X8 Ultra, all boasting significantly larger batteries than their predecessors in the X7 series.
While the X7 series saw the introduction of the Ultra model in place of a direct X6 Pro successor, it seems OPPO plans to revive the Pro moniker with the upcoming generation. The Find X8 Pro is said to feature the same MediaTek Dimensity 9400 SoC as the standard Find X8, differentiating itself with features like a larger battery instead of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 found in the Ultra model.
Rumored Battery Capacities:
- Find X8 Pro: 5,700mAh (typical), potentially 5,540mAh (rated)
- Find X8: 5,600mAh (typical), potentially 5,440mAh (rated)
- Find X8 Ultra: 6,000mAh (rated), potentially 6,100-6,200mAh (typical)
If these rumors hold true, the Find X8 Pro would become OPPO's first flagship smartphone to break the 5,500mAh barrier. The Find X8 would also boast an impressive battery, surpassing even the OnePlus 12R. However, the Find X8 Ultra would steal the show with its massive 6,000mAh+ battery.
This significant increase in battery capacity might come at a cost, though. Rumors suggest the Find X8 series might ditch wireless charging, a feature present in the X7 Ultra with 50W speeds. Additionally, wired charging speeds are expected to remain at 100W SuperVOOC, the same as the previous generation.
