Steam Hardware Survey: RTX 3060 Remains On Top, Windows 10 Usage Grows

One interesting shift in the July data is a notable increase in Windows 10 users, coupled with a decrease in Windows 11 adoption. Windows 10 saw a +0.74% rise, while Windows 11 experienced a -0.82% dip. Additionally, there's been a surge in gamers upgrading their RAM, with a 1.43% jump in the number of users running systems with 32GB. This is a significant change considering the sheer size of the Steam user base.

CPU usage remains relatively stable, with no major shifts in market share. The graphics card landscape tells a similar story, though some minor movements are worth noting. Budget-friendly NVIDIA 40-series cards are gaining traction, with the RTX 4060, 4060 Mobile, and 4060 Ti all seeing increases of 0.44% and 0.37% respectively. Surprisingly, there's been a slight decrease in the percentage of gamers using laptop GPUs.

As mentioned earlier, the RTX 3060 holds onto its crown as the most popular graphics card with a 5.71% share, experiencing a modest growth of +0.21% this month. The ever-popular GTX 1650 and GTX 1060 secure the second and eighth spots, respectively.
