Big Xbox Game Rumored to be Announced for PlayStation Next Week, Sparking Wild Speculation
Rumors are swirling that a major Xbox exclusive title is headed to the PlayStation 5, with an announcement expected next week. The news, originating from a post by renowned gaming insider Shinobi602 on the ResetEra forum, has ignited a firestorm of speculation about which game Microsoft might bring to Sony's console.
While popular titles like Forza Horizon 5, Halo, and Starfield are being tossed around as possibilities, Microsoft insider Jez Corden has poured cold water on the Forza Horizon 5 theory, stating it's unlikely to be the game announced next week. However, he hasn't ruled out a potential PlayStation release for the title further down the line.
Instead, Corden suggests other potential candidates, including older titles like Killer Instinct, State of Decay 2, and the Halo: Master Chief Collection. He also throws Hellblade 2, and the yet-to-be-released Indiana Jones and the Great Circle into the mix.
gamescom Announcement?
According to Insider Gaming, if an announcement is indeed imminent, it could happen on August 20th during the Opening Night Live event at gamescom, which is already boasting a record-breaking number of exhibitors this year.
The rumor mill is churning, and with gamescom just around the corner, we might not have to wait long to find out which Xbox exclusive is making the jump to PlayStation.
