Ubisoft Rumored to Be Developing a Fall Guys-Style Assassin's Creed Invictus
After a period of stagnation and recent setbacks, Ubisoft seems to be exploring new avenues for its flagship franchise. Insider reports suggest the company is developing Assassin's Creed Invictus, a multiplayer arcade game with a distinctly casual flavor, drawing inspiration from titles like Fall Guys and Smash Bros.
According to j0nathan, a leaker known for accurate Assassin's Creed predictions, Invictus will be a multiplayer romp for up to 16 players, who will compete in a variety of mini-games. Leaked details so far mention deathmatch and racing modes.
The game will reportedly feature a roster of beloved characters like Ezio Auditore and Cesare Borgia, while levels will draw inspiration from various historical settings, including Baghdad, Japan, and islands reminiscent of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag.
If the rumors hold true, Assassin's Creed Invictus could be launching as early as next year.
