Intel's Arrow Lake: Core Ultra 5 245K Leak Shows Modest Gains

Leaked benchmarks suggest Intel's Core Ultra 5 245K may only offer a slight performance bump over the i5-14600K. Is Arrow Lake a letdown?
Intel's Arrow Lake: Core Ultra 5 245K Leak Shows Modest Gains
Leaked Benchmarks Show Intel Core Ultra 5 245K Barely Outperforms i5-14600K Early benchmarks of Intel's upcoming Core Ultra 5 245K processor have surfaced, and the results are a mixed bag. While the chip shows significant gains over AMD's Ryzen 5 9600X and Ryzen 7 9700X, it only slightly outperforms its predecessor, the Core i5-14600K. The leaked Cinebench R23 multi-core score for the Core Ultra 5 245K sits at around 25,495, achieved while running at 4.19 GHz. This represents a mere 4% improvement over the Core i5-14600K. While the single-core performance is expected to see a more significant jump (based on previous Geekbench leaks), the minimal multi-core gains are surprising. The Core Ultra 5 245K is expected to feature 6 Lion Cove P-cores and 8 Skymont E-cores, totaling 14 cores. Despite this, the leaked benchmark suggests that the multi-threaded performance improvement over the 14th Gen i5 isn't substantial. Efficiency May Be the Focus for Arrow Lake If these leaked bench…
