MediaTek Dimensity 9400 Outperforms Apple A18 Pro in GFX Aztec Graphics Benchmark
The upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 9400 mobile platform is making waves with its impressive graphics performance, even surpassing Apple's A18 Pro in early benchmarks.
Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station shared a screenshot revealing the Dimensity 9400's score on the GFX Aztec 1440P off-screen Vulkan benchmark. The chip achieved a remarkable 134 frames per second, outperforming the A18 Pro by a significant margin. The A18 Pro scored only 72 fps in the same test, while the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 managed 95 fps. This means the Dimensity 9400 surpassed its competitors by 86% and 41%, respectively.
The Dimensity 9400 is expected to feature next-generation Cortex-X925 CPU cores clocked at up to 3.63GHz and a Mali-G925-Immortalis MC12 GPU. Compared to its predecessor, the new GPU boasts a 37% improvement in overall performance, a 52% boost in ray tracing, a 34% increase in AI performance, and a 30% reduction in power consumption.
