Meizu has finally launched its highly anticipated "AI smartphone," the Lucky 08. The device boasts a flagship-level display with slim bezels and a 144Hz refresh rate, a large battery, a fresh design, and a surprisingly affordable price tag for its impressive specs.
The Meizu Lucky 08 sports a 6.78-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a variable refresh rate of 1-120Hz, with the option to enable a 144Hz mode. It features a peak brightness of 1600 nits, a maximum brightness of 5000 nits, and a 2160Hz PWM dimming frequency. Meizu has also highlighted the slim bezels, measuring just 1.75mm.
Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, coupled with 8GB or 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of internal storage. The camera system features a 108MP Samsung ISOCELL S5KHM6s primary sensor with a 1/1.67-inch size. A 2MP macro lens accompanies the main camera, while an 8MP front-facing camera handles selfies.
The Lucky 08 runs on Meizu's Flyme AIOS operating system, boasting over 100 AI-powered features. A dedicated button provides quick access to these features, which include an AI-powered web search, an intelligent assistant that can answer calls on the user's behalf, and a summary of completed phone conversations.
A massive 6000mAh battery powers the phone, supported by 33W fast charging. The device features a sleek design with flat edges, a 2.5D curved display, and a unique camera module, all packed into a slim 8.6mm profile weighing 202 grams.
