TECNO Launches POP 9: Budget Phone with 120Hz Display and 5G Connectivity
TECNO has released a new affordable smartphone, the POP 9 5G, offering several significant upgrades over its predecessor. Notably, the device now features a high refresh rate display and support for next-generation networks.
The POP 9 5G sports a 6.6-inch display with HD+ resolution, a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and slim bezels on three sides. Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 chipset (a rebranded Dimensity 6080), coupled with 4GB of RAM, expandable via virtual RAM, and up to 128GB of internal storage.
The rear camera setup boasts a 48MP Sony IMX582 primary sensor, accompanied by an AI lens. For selfies and video calls, there's an 8MP front-facing camera.
A 5000mAh battery keeps the POP 9 5G running, supported by 18W fast charging. Other notable features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, IP54 water and dust resistance, Android 14 with TECNO's HiOS 14 skin, 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, USB Type-C, and NFC.
The TECNO POP 9 5G comes in black, blue, and white color options. It's affordably priced at $102 for the 4GB/64GB variant and $107 for the 4GB/128GB model, with two protective cases included in the box.
