vivo Jumps Ahead: Android 15 Arrives on vivo Smartphones Before Google Pixels
In a surprising move, vivo has begun rolling out Android 15 updates to its smartphones, even before Google has officially released the update for its Pixel devices.
While Google released the stable Android 15 source code to developers earlier this month, the official rollout for Pixel phones is rumored to begin on October 15th. Samsung, another company known for quick Android updates, has also been quiet on the Android 15 front.
Meanwhile, vivo has taken the lead, delivering the new Android version to select smartphone models. Tipster Ishan Agarwal shared a screenshot on X (formerly Twitter), confirming that he has received Funtouch OS 15, based on Android 15, on his vivo X Fold 3 Pro. Reports indicate that the update is also rolling out to owners of vivo X100 and iQOO 12 series smartphones.
Adding to the intrigue, the official launch of Funtouch OS 15 is scheduled for September 30th, yet users are already experiencing the new software ahead of time.
