Google Pixel 9a Leaked Renders Reveal a Fresh Design and Possible Seven Years of Support
Leaked renders from reliable tipster OnLeaks have showcased the Google Pixel 9a from all angles, revealing a fresh design direction for Google's mid-range smartphone lineup.
The most noticeable change in the Pixel 9a is the rear camera module. The signature elongated camera bar is gone, replaced by two lenses embedded almost flush within the glossy back panel. The device also adopts a flat back cover and side bezels, contributing to a more modern aesthetic. While the display bezels appear thinner than on current Pixel models, a noticeable bottom chin remains.
According to insiders, the Pixel 9a will launch with Android 15 and could enjoy seven years of software support, similar to the Pixel 8a. The release is expected to take place during Google I/O on or around May 7th, 2025.
The Pixel 9a is rumored to be the last Google smartphone to feature a Samsung-manufactured processor. Future generations are expected to transition to TSMC-built chips. Other speculated specifications include a 6.1-inch display, 8GB of RAM, the Tensor G4 processor, and a slightly larger battery.
