OnePlus continues to tease its upcoming flagship, the OnePlus 13, ahead of its October 31st launch in China. The latest official teasers focus on communication features, promising significant improvements in Bluetooth, network signals, NFC, and even the IR blaster.
Super Signal Engineering 2.0: A Connectivity Boost
OnePlus is introducing "Super Signal Engineering 2.0," an enhanced version of the OnePlus 12's Smart Link technology. The company claims this new feature brings significant improvements to both Bluetooth and network signal performance.
Extended Bluetooth Range and Enhanced Network Signals:
The OnePlus 13 will feature Bluetooth 5.4, similar to its predecessor. However, OnePlus boasts an extended Bluetooth range of up to 400 meters, covering an area of 100m2. This means users can enjoy uninterrupted audio streaming even when their phone is not nearby.
Network connectivity also receives an upgrade with a new subway mode, promising reduced lag and buffering when streaming or making video calls during train rides. The OnePlus 13 will also feature 360° communication antennas for enhanced signal reception.
NFC and IR Blaster Improvements:
OnePlus has confirmed the OnePlus 13 will have multi-function NFC, eliminating the need to tap specific sides of the phone against payment terminals. The IR blaster has also received an upgrade, allowing users to add new device remotes by simply taking a picture of them.
Other Notable Features:
In addition to the connectivity enhancements, the OnePlus 13 is confirmed to have upgraded stereo speakers and AI-assisted 4-mic call noise reduction. The phone is also expected to feature the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, up to 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, 100W fast wired charging, 50W fast wireless charging, and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
With its impressive specs and a focus on connectivity improvements, the OnePlus 13 is shaping up to be a strong contender in the flagship smartphone market.
