Russian Scientists Develop Powerline Modem for Data Transmission
Russian scientists have developed NB-PLC, a powerline communication modem that enables data transmission over existing electrical wiring.
Researchers at the Saint Petersburg State University of Telecommunications (SPbSUT) have unveiled a domestically developed powerline communication (PLC) modem, dubbed NB-PLC . This innovative device enables data transmission over low and medium voltage power lines, opening up new possibilities for various applications. Key Features and Advantages of NB-PLC: Data over Power Lines: NB-PLC utilizes existing electrical wiring in buildings and power grids to transmit and receive digital signals, eliminating the need for separate communication cables. Standardized Technology: The modem adheres to the G3-PLC IEEE 1901.2 standard, ensuring compatibility and interoperability with other PLC devices. Wide Frequency Range: NB-PLC supports a broad frequency spectrum, allowing it to adapt to different environments and transmission requirements. Multiple Interfaces: The modem is compatible with various data transmission interfaces, making it suitable for integration with diverse automation systems. Large N…
