2K Games has unexpectedly discontinued its 2K Launcher, removing it from all its games on both Steam and the Epic Games Store. This includes recent releases like The Quarry and Marvel's Midnight Suns, as well as older titles like Sid Meier's Civilization V and the BioShock remasters.

Players don't need to worry about losing their progress or licenses. The launcher had been criticized since 2021 for negatively impacting game performance and causing technical issues. Some players had even found ways to bypass the launcher entirely.
