Apple is reportedly planning to further its presence in the smart home market with a new smart camera featuring Apple Intelligence, along with new AirPods boasting enhanced health-tracking capabilities.
Smart Home Camera
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that Apple will begin mass production of a smart home camera in 2026. The camera is expected to feature wireless connectivity and deep integration with Apple Intelligence and Siri. Apple aims to sell tens of millions of units, indicating a strong commitment to this new product category.
It remains unclear whether this smart camera is related to previous rumors of a hybrid HomePod/iPad device intended to serve as a central smart home hub.
AirPods with Enhanced Health Features
Kuo also reports that Apple is working on new AirPods with expanded health management features, similar to those found on the Apple Watch. These new AirPods are expected to be produced by Goertek and launch in 2026.
While current AirPods already include some health-related functions, these future models will reportedly offer more comprehensive tracking. Potential features include body temperature monitoring and other health metrics, further integrating Apple's devices into users' wellness routines.
