Apple M4 Max Sets New Geekbench Record
Following the M4 Pro's impressive results, the new MacBook Pro with the top-of-the-line M4 Max processor has appeared on Geekbench. As expected, it's Apple's most powerful chip yet, setting a new record for single-core performance among all processors. Record-Breaking Performance The M4 Max is the first processor to break the 4000-point barrier in Geekbench's single-core test, achieving a score of 4060. This is over 100 points higher than the M4 Pro. In the multi-core test, the 16-core M4 Max scored 26,675, an 18% improvement over the 14-core M4 Pro. In the Metal graphics test, the new M4 Max with 40 graphics cores achieved 192,532 points. While this significantly outperforms the M3 Max (with the same number of cores) by almost 25%, the M2 Ultra with its 76 GPU cores and 221,646 points still holds the lead in graphics performance.
