Asus ROG Phone 9/9 Pro Leak Hints at 24GB RAM and AI Focus
A new leak suggests the Asus ROG Phone 9 and 9 Pro will feature 24GB of RAM and a focus on AI gaming, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
Asus is preparing to launch the ROG Phone 9 and 9 Pro, potentially its most powerful Android smartphones yet. A new benchmark leak suggests that at least one of these devices will feature a staggering 24GB of RAM, along with the cutting-edge Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. The device, identified as "ASUSAI2501C," appeared on Geekbench AI, showcasing its performance with 24GB RAM and the Snapdragon 8 Elite. This model number is believed to correspond to either the ROG Phone 9 or 9 Pro. The benchmark results have varied so far, but some show impressive scores. The device was also running Android 15. This leak further fuels speculation that the ROG Phone 9 series will be Asus' first flagship phones marketed as "true AI gaming" smartphones, with an expected launch later in November 2024. It remains unclear how the ROG Phone 9 and 9 Pro will differ. One possibility is that the standard model may lack the new AniMe Matrix display rumored for the Pro variant.
