Corsair MP700 ELITE SSD Tackles PCIe 5.0 Overheating

Overclocker Der8auer has tested the Corsair MP700 ELITE SSD, featuring the new Phison E31T controller designed to address the overheating problems common with PCIe 5.0 SSDs. Comparing it to the previous generation Crucial T700, the results show a notable improvement in thermal performance. Without a heatsink, the Crucial T700 reached 60°C after just four minutes of activity, quickly rising to 83°C under load. The MP700, on the other hand, reached 53°C and 80°C respectively under the same conditions. With its included heatsink, the MP700 managed significantly lower temperatures of 35°C idle and 64°C under load.
