Dimensity 9400 GPU Outperforms Apple A18 Pro in Efficiency and Performance

While the Snapdragon 8 Elite may be the headline Android chipset this year, MediaTek's Dimensity 9400 is proving to be a strong contender in the premium segment. Recent tests show the Dimensity 9400's Immortalis-G925 GPU delivering impressive performance and efficiency, even surpassing Apple's A18 Pro in some areas. According to tests conducted by Golden Reviewer, the Dimensity 9400 achieved a significantly higher score in 3DMark's Solar Bay ray-tracing test (11,817) compared to the A18 Pro (8,587), while also demonstrating better power efficiency. The Dimensity 9400 drew 11.4W during the test, while the A18 Pro consumed 11.1W, resulting in a roughly 30% efficiency advantage for the MediaTek chip.
