Exynos 2500 Enters Mass Production, Destined for Galaxy Z Flip 7
Samsung's Exynos 2500 SoC has reportedly entered mass production, despite low yields, and is expected to power the Galaxy Z Flip 7 .
Samsung has reportedly begun mass production of its Exynos 2500 SoC, despite reports of abysmal yields. Contrary to earlier rumors, the chip won't be powering the Galaxy S25 series. Instead, it's destined for the Galaxy Z Flip 7, with a possible appearance in the Galaxy S25 Slim in mid-2025. While a Galaxy S25 Plus sample with the Exynos 2500 exists, the S25 lineup is now expected to utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 will also stick with the Snapdragon chip. Samsung reportedly plans an initial production run of 3.9 million Galaxy Z Flip 7 units, including the Exynos 2400-powered Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE. Although a Samsung spokesperson denied the mass production claims, this is typical for unreleased products. Performance-wise, the Exynos 2500 reportedly lags behind the Snapdragon 8 Elite and Dimensity 9400, especially in CPU performance.
