Following the disappointment of Battlefield 2042, fans have been clamoring for a return to the beloved Bad Company series. And it seems they're not alone. David Goldfarb, former lead designer at DICE, recently expressed his enthusiasm for developing Battlefield: Bad Company 3.
In an interview with PCGamesN, Goldfarb stated that he would be eager to work on a third Bad Company game if EA approached him:
I’m here. EA knows where to find me if they want to do that. But don’t forget I have a studio, a project, and a team.
Goldfarb currently leads The Outsiders, the studio behind the rhythm-shooter Metal: Hellsinger.
Reflecting on the Bad Company series, Goldfarb shared:
I can’t speak for everyone, but I definitely know: we felt we hit on something with Bad Company— even though it was a little strange. We had fun making it and in general it’s amazing that we managed to release such a game. [...] There are no more titles like Bad Company with this level of production.
The original Battlefield: Bad Company was a spin-off released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2008. The sequel, Bad Company 2, launched in 2010 for consoles and PC. EA shut down the online servers for both games in December of last year.
